ITO EN (North America) INC. was founded in May 2001 with the mission of introducing ITO EN's line of green tea products and establishing a green tea culture and interest in the United States and beyond.

In 2002, the Teas' Tea line of natural, unsweetened bottled tea was launched. The product line functions as the centerpiece of ITO EN (North America) Inc. for it upholds ITO EN's principles of Natural, Safe, Healthy, Well-Designed, and Delicious. The product was first introduced through wholesale distribution in New York City and the Tri-State area.

The breadth of ITO EN (North America) Inc. is increasing through the development of new beverage and loose leaf tea products, the expansion of its distribution network to a national level, and the growth of its ecommerce operations. With the attention of industry, the media, and the public, ITO EN (North America) Inc. is well on its way to making green tea a true part of the new American culture.

As 2016 comes to a close and the New Year 2017 begins, it is a time for many of us to reflect and anticipate what is in store for the future. Most memorable for us at ITO EN, has been the recognition of being one of "50 Companies Changing the World" by Fortune magazine. This was a great honor for us and only confirmed the significant contribution we can make with our continued commitment to sustainable business practices. Our Tea‐Producing Development Project of cultivating abandoned farmland and nurturing young farmers is just one of many of our CSR programs we support. With Fortune’s three criteria of measurable social impact, business results and degree of innovation, our ranking #18 amongst 50 great companies such as Tesla and Nike, gives us forever more reason to stay committed to making a difference for the future generations to come.

Our business continues to flourish as the demand for our products continues to grow. As a company that has been on the forefront of unsweetened teas and healthy beverages, we are pleased to see the mainstream and conventional markets expanding their offerings of premium teas. With placements in national chains such as Kroeger and CVS Health Pharmacy, it is clear that customers are seeking healthier beverage options. E‐commerce retailers are new partners for us as they also expand their health and wellness categories.

Happily, the Matcha trend is still going strong and is still confirmed as one of the "Superfoods of 2017". Our Matcha LOVE brand is drawing a dynamic and young following, with a new retail location to open in Dallas in the coming months. With barista style Matcha Lattes so popular today, we have launched a convenient Matcha Sweetened powder mix that can be easily prepared at home. Another matcha innovation is our global ITO EN Matcha Green teabags that can be enjoyed Hot or Cold Brew. An authentic Japanese style tea celebrating the rich umami tastes of matcha.

Our signature TEAS’ TEA has shifted to Organics, responding to our consumer demands for organic ingredients. Responding to the ever‐changing lifestyles of our customers is critical in today’s business world. We hope to always stay relevant with our product offerings.

Together with our subsidiary companies, Mason Vitamins and Distant Lands Coffee, we look forward with great promise for another exciting year. With new customers every day, we are grateful for the loyalty and support that has built the foundation of our company.
