Meticulously grown by the head of the Yame Tea Growers Association, and sourced by the forward thinking grower and tea expert Kazumi Nakatani, this tea is a wonderful example of the vegetal sweetness found in Japanese green teas. A lush umami base rests beneath intricate waves of perfectly sautéed greens and roasted squash that ebb and flow in an ocean void of bitterness. Easily brewed by the novice, it is equally satisfying to a more sophisticated palate.

About the farmer:
Kazumi Nakatani is a grower and tea expert based in Tokyo, Japan. Kazumi san’s family owns several small farms throughout Fukuoka prefecture that have been producing exquisite teas for over 20 years. Kazumi san has been picking tea leaves from since childhood and now she strives to share small batch, artisan made teas from Japan throughout the world. Her family’s tea have amassed seven top three finishes at contest in Japan. Kazumi san also strives to be as low impact and as environmentally conscious a possible by using responsible farming methods. She is widely considered an advocate for a new wave of tea in Japan and beyond.
