President’s Message

Dear Friends,

As we welcome in the new year-2012, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our many fans and friends who have helped us reach an important milestone this past year in celebrating our 10^th year anniversary. This would not have been possible, without the support and loyalty of our many valued customers. For this, we are forever grateful.

The past year did present trying times, with the March 11^th Tohoku Earthquake in Japan and floods in Thailand. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the many families that were impacted by these natural disasters. As our company faces challenges with the loss of our Thailand production facility and continued economic stress in Japan, we are hopeful and committed to helping rebuild and restore the communities that have been affected. The strength and courage of the people have been inspiring, giving us a renewed sense of purpose to make a difference.

Most recently, Dr Oz appeared on national television heralding the news that tea in fact has disease-fighting benefits. As health and wellness take precedent  in people’s lives today and tea on an upward swing, we are committed to bringing our 45 year legacy of tea-making expertise and quality products that embody our five principles-Natural, Healthy, Safe, Well-designed and  Delicious.

The 2011 North American Tea Championship awarded us First Place for our TEAS’ TEA Low-Calorie Mango Oolong, in the Ready-to-drink Oolong category. With a rating of 92 points, we were honored to receive the highest rating of any tea in the Iced Tea Class.

This year, we also introduced a new addition to our TEAS’ TEA family an all-time American classic-Half & Half under TEAS’ TEA Plus.  Due to the overwhelming success, we are excited to be launching additional flavors in early Spring.

The new 2012  Zagat’s Restaurant Guide has recognized our Donguri Restaurant with higher ratings at 27 points- Extraordinary to Perfection, and our Service and Décor increased to 25 and 17 points respectively. Needless to say, we are pleased with this wonderful recognition and invite you to experience a delicious meal very soon.
