President’s Message
Dear Friends: As we welcome in the new year- 2013, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a healthy and prosperous new year. So many events this past year have reminded us of the fragility of life and the importance of keeping our families safe and in good health. With our offices based in Dumbo, Brooklyn, many of the neighboring homes and businesses were impacted by nature’s unpredictable fury of Hurricane Sandy. Our offices were spared, but our thoughts were with the millions who were impacted by the storm and its aftermath. We were proud to see our community unite and take part in the Help DUMBO Rebuild event. It is our goal to be a part of the ongoing efforts to help rebuild the devastated communities. As health and wellness continue to take center stage today, we are ever more committed to providing products that contribute to the nation’s fight against obesity. With our five guiding principles of Natural, Healthy, Safe, Well-designed and Delicious, our team is dedicated to the innovation of healthy beverages. With that said, this year we introduced 4 new flavors to our TEAS’ TEA Half & Half line- Peach, Green Apple, Coconut and Grape joining the original Lemon flavor. Traditionally made with black tea and lemonade, we created our East meets West version of the all-time American classic half & half, with fresh brewed green tea. There has been a tremendous response on the flavor profile and it’s low calorie count of only 50 calories per serving. If you have not tried this yet, we hope it will be on your 2013 list. The June issue of SELF MAGAZINE awarded us a HEALTHY FOOD AWARD for our Natural Fruit Tea Line- TEAS’ TEA Lemon Black. This recognition continues to inspire us to introduce beverages that can make a difference in a healthy and meaningful lifestyle. Oprah’s “O Magazine” featured in their July issue our premium green tea-Sencha, in an article “10 Smartest Thing You Can Do For Your Body”, a testament that quality Japanese green teas are becoming an integral part of a healthy diet in America. Our summer Facebook campaign was a great success with many TEAS’ TEA fans enjoying giveaways of fun summer gear. From a waterproof iphone cover, beach towels to a Hybrid Prius, our hope was to encourage a healthy active life in the theme of by “Letting the Good Times Roll”.
