It is hard to believe we are more than half way through the year. As always, we appreciate your patronage and support. Your confidence in ITO EN is essential to our success and we are forever grateful for this.

Many things have happened in the course of these 8 months. First and foremost, we are pleased to share the news that we have received several awards and recognitions from the industry and our customers. We were honored to receive four awards at the North American Tea Championship presented during the World Tea Expo in June.

Championship Awards:
1st Place, Unflavored Green Tea: Sencha Shot
1st Place, Flavored Green Tea: Teas' Tea Naturally Sweet Blueberry Green
2nd Place, Unflavored Oolong: Oolong Shot
3rd Place, Flavored Green Tea: Maté Sencha Shot

The teas were judged by a panel consisting of professional cuppers, leading retail buyers of teas and professional chefs who assessed each submission through blind analysis of characteristics such as – flavor, color, clarity and balance. Needless to say, we were honored for this recognition.

In the July/August issue, FITNESS Magazine awarded TEAS’ TEA Green Jasmine “Best in Drinks” for its Healthy Food 2010 Award. Winners were selected by Fitness Magazine’s expert panel of dieticians, staffers and readers. Our new Maté Sencha Shot was awarded “Top Pick of the Week” by The Nibble, the premier online specialty food magazine. Maté Sencha Shot combines the energizing power of yerba mate with the prophylactic antioxidants of green tea. A new twist to our portfolio of teas.

As we look forward to the 2nd half of the year, we are planning to expand our product selection to include beautifully packaged gift sets featuring our loose leaf teas and matcha, a ceremonial powdered green tea for the tea enthusiast. Available for this holiday season 2010, the gift sets are smartly packaged in a bamboo lattice box. We are thrilled to introduce the centuries-old tradition of tea drinking to share as gifts for special friends and loved ones.

This fall, we will re-launch our online tea store. Our new virtual store will provide customers with improved site navigation, a broader product selection and enhanced content. As the launch date approaches we will announce further details. As always, we are committed to bringing quality products that embody our five (5) principles of Healthy, Natural, Safe, Well-designed and Delicious. With our corporate stance being to “walk with nature”, we apply this as the basis for all our products.
