ITO EN to Appear on the Set of Hit TV Shows and Major Motion Pictures
Unsweetened Bottled Green Tea Takes Center Stage in American Pop Culture

NEW YORK - ITO EN (North America) INC, Japan’s premiere green tea company, will be making its small screen debut this fall on two hit TV shows: HBO’s Entourage and FOX’s 24. It will also play a major role in the upcoming David Keith film, Way of the Dolphin, scheduled to hit theaters in 2009.

In a society predominately dependant on drinks like soda and coffee, unsweetened green tea has been steadily infiltrating the market. What started as a health-conscious movement is beginning to take root in American main-stream. From its origins on the bottom shelf of a family-owned Japanese food stores, to its current place in the aisles of thousands of supermarkets nation-wide – ITO EN’s products hitting the big screen speaks volumes about the shift in the American palette. “The interest we’ve seen in TEAS’ TEA from celebrities and other high profile clientele has been tremendous,” said Rona Tison, senior vice president of Corporate Relations for ITO EN. “There is nothing like having the support of Hollywood behind a brand. They have every product in the world thrown at them and when they accept something into their daily lives, you know they truly believe in it. From the design of the bottle to the health benefits of our products, we’ve always known TEAS’ TEA would be a perfect fit in American culture.”

Brad Turner, director of FOX’s hit series 24, is such a fan of TEAS’ TEA that he has insisted on having it not only on set at all times but is including it in the show as well (set to air in March). Many former soda drinkers, such as Turner, have found unsweetened green tea to be both eye opening and life changing – they don’t have to give up taste for health.

On October 19, 2008 TEAS’ TEA will infiltrate HBO’s Entourage, as it appears in Ari’s (Jeremy Piven) office with guest star Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development) drinking it throughout the episode.

TEAS’ TEA retails for $1.99 and can be found at mass merchandise stores, grocery stores and specialty natural food retailers nationwide; including Whole Foods, Super Target, Bashas’ Supermarket and Wegman’s. TEAS’ TEA can also be ordered at www.itoen.com. For more information, please visit the website.
