Green Tea BBQ Rub
¼ Cup of Green Tea leaves (Sencha)
½ tsp of ground cumin
¼ tsp of ground pepper
¾ tsp of kosher or sea salt
2 tsp of brown sugar
½ tsp of chipotle powder
Blend all ingredients and grind well in mortar & pestle or food processor.
Drizzle olive oil on meat and massage in the rub. Let sit for 1-2 hours, before grilling on barbeque.
The meat can also be grilled in a hot cast iron frying pan.
Recommended for steaks or pork loins. Can also be used for grilling salmon or shrimp.
