Hidden away in Kyoto, the imperial capital of Japan for centuries, lies the district known as Gion. Within these quarters are the ochaya, or teahouses, the realm of the famed geisha. “A person of the arts”, the geisha has come to represent the heights of refinement and beauty with the tea house. Inspired by the geisha and ochaya of Gion, we have blended a special tea named in its honor. We subtly scented prime shade-grown kabusecha from the Uji region outside Kyoto with sweet plum for a tea that exudes an enticing fragrance and taste without ever losing its elegant restraint.
