These fanciful teacups take their inspiration teaware from Japan’s Taisho Era. During this time in the 1920s, Japanese and Western aesthetics merged in an inventive, often surprising ways. Made from tempered glass, the cups are best for serving premium sencha and gyokuro tea, which should be served at a cooler temperature than other tea. Their design also gives a unique touch to a sake or liqueur presentation.
