Natsume (Matcha Container)
This small black container is for holding matcha powder during tea ceremony. The deep black color allows for the bright green matcha to have the most stunning effect by contrast. The small golden blossom decoration adds traditional, yet modern appeal.
Chawan Tea Bowl
Mino ware has a rich history that goes back 1300 years to Gifu prefecture. Many artisans were drawn here by the abundance of high quality natural clay that is still used by potters today. Minoyaki ware is often noted for its bold or abstract glazing, though it is hard to pinpoint one particular style. Because of the diversity of artisans, there are many styles that are found in Minoyaki, such as Oribe and Shino wares. Our Minoyaki tea bowl is characterized by bold brushstrokes that have painted thick white glaze over a subtle grey background. The momentum found in these brushstrokes echoes the brisk movements one makes when preparing matcha. This tea bowl is truly a delight to look at and to hold. 3.5"h x 4.5"d
Chasen (Bamboo Whisk)
Our chasen, or tea whisk, is hand-carved from a single piece of bamboo. The tines are expertly split into the thinnest sections and then crafted into the perfect shape for whisking matcha. Perfect for tea ceremony, yet simple enough for everyday use.
Chashaku (Tea Scoop)-Brown
The chasaku, or tea scoop, is crafted from a single thin piece of bamboo. It is light weight and easy to hold.
